Seems like entire mountain towns are in Moab right now. If anyone wants to hit Green River for some relatively mellow hike-a-bike freeriding, hit me up. I can go Mon-Wed before I migrate north. My friends are too lazy to have their mind expanded, to put it mildly.

Yeah, it was a little more crowded than usual, but still not that bad. As long as you stay out of downtown, that is. Holy shit it’s packed down there.

And... Some mellow singletrack with the 1yo (in the iBert) and 6yo yesterday.

I feel like the iBert is one of my favorite pieces of gear at this stage in life and the fat bike is a big upgrade over the Jamis Dakar that used to be relegated to this type of work...

We stayed in condos just south of here, rode a bit of pipe dream before leaving on Sunday.. What a great trail right there... Kicked my ass though after having more miles on my legs this weekend than the rest of the year total... which isn't saying much.

My 2yo's got the same helmet as your youngest! The views are not nearly as cool around here though.

We were probably in the same condos... Rim Village? It's nice to stay outside of town away from the masses.

Is Pipe Dream the one you can connect to Hidden Canyon & Moab Rim DH?

We are staying at the golf course condos, dog friendly!

Huh, I never thought of hike-a-biking up Hidden to the Moab Rim DH. Just hiked Hidden with the dogs on off-days. That would be a unique loop.

I've always wanted to do the Rim DH, and hiking up it and going back down always seemed... less than ideal. Ima try to fit that in next time I'm in Mohab.

Oh - and photo from the other side of the MW/DR loop:

Cool loop, did it a couple years ago. See day 5 https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...nksgiving-2016

If I did it as a loop again I'd do Pipedream first. That kicked my ass at the end of the ride, but made sense based on where we were staying. Or skip the Jacksons side loop.

Hidden Valley goes through a Wilderness Study Area but bikes are specifically allowed, so take advantage... Would never want to climb up Moab Rim. Anyone ridden the singletrack that parallels the jeep road descent? Says no bikes but looked fun.

Thanks for re-linking to that TR from a couple year ago.... awesome. That's a solid ride- you didn't want to add an extra lap to do Hymasa and Ahab too?

What speaker is it? You happy with it? I won’t use earbuds either, but music does make a long grind more pleasant.

It’s a Boombotix Rex, cheap on Amazon. Dual drive, it’s loud and clean. Make sure you get the bar mount for it. It never slips of bounces around. I’m really happy with it.
