It's probably a bit unusual to be riding a bike at 12k feet in the San Juans in mid May. I wasn't complaining though.

There's very little snow anywhere in that zone. There was one decent size patch of snow on the trail heading north but once you get past that it all looked clear.

Mountains, water, trees and a bunch of techy climbing on a Pinion (unridable in BC). Lucky thing Seinfeld was in town or it would have all been such a waste.
