Rodeo Beach -GGNRA old military base, now hosts Non-profits organizations. Cool old WW II bunkers hidden in the hills, also has an Nike Missile base from the cold war. The base is open every 3rd Saturday I believe, you ride a giant elevator down into the missile bunker where they still have several of the old Nike's on display.

A buddy and I were messing around this morning on a trail we ride all the time, and he snapped a few decent photos in the process.

Very nice evasive, I have skied and hiked up there and always thought I should get over there on my bike.

Higher elevation trails coming into play now that the snow is melting.

Definitely. It’s worth it, but the spur to the peak is a tough 1.5 miles of hike-a-bike. It left me a little gassed for a descent with that demands your A-game from the first pedal stroke.

We saw a runner, a horseman with a pack horse, and two groups of hikers (parties of 4 and 5). That loop was probably busier than the Ridge trail at the same time.

A cruise around the Mt Laguna yesterday morning with side trip to check out Monument Peak. Did not disappoint!

A small fire started off Laguna Meadow just as I got back to my truck at Penny Pines trailhead. 2 tankers and 2 helicoptors knocked it down pretty fast. I went over to the campground and got to watch the last few water drops.
