Took the wife's friend for a nice ride. Lee's posts made me get off my ass for an alpine ride. She's not the most solid rider so quite a bit of HAB but pocket bacon helps! Also we somehow neglected leaving TH beers so when we got back to truck they had left 2 cold beers for us!

It's not all bad news. Al, Katy, Peter and many others have worked to build out a small but family and beginner-friendly trail system in Cour D'Alene.
Blue Creek Bay is just off the Yellowstone trail relatively close to downtown CDA. Climbs are relatively gentle; trails are benchcut, outsloped and lots of grade reversals in place to manage water and erosion.
Kudos to the BLM for working with locals to develop a system for use by bikers, hikers and horseback riders.
And yeah to ice cream and bakeries

We got fed awesome Fillipino pork products and had a good laugh about being fellow one-eyed Asians. Him and the family are doing great (I stuck up some pics in the Photo thread with him and his wife's permission of the kids). Got his 50th coming up so maybe will drag him out to St George or Moab next spring. Much respect to Al and Katy for playing the long game in CdA and getting trail systems going

Too funny, one eyed Asians....he still rode faster than most even with monovision. The guy is an animal. Much love Almer, we miss you in Boise.
I still miss those parties at his old house in Boise's east end.
Have you ever had any of his seafood creations? STELLAR! I still use one of his recipes for my halibut.
