Not much snow here, but some isolated reefs of ice keep us on the studs.

Well it varies obviously, but yesterday it was a good base with dry snow on top. A little on the slick side, had to let some air out to get better traction. Off camber sidehill was tricky to keep the tires tracking, where it was a flat trail you could let it rip a bit more. Spun out on a few steeper climbs. Our other trails are at lower elevation and have less snow and are crunchy from melt freeze cycles, and thus have better traction.

Go forth and ride, then bring back pics

Our trails are groomed like that and when it’s good, (refrozen), it’s really good. This pic is from my very first fat bike ride, so I was a little cautious, but you could totally lay the bike out.

Didn't really want to go back down the same way over all that snow or ice so I took the warmer, sunnier route into town, which did add like 8mi of pavement to get home.

Pretty cold up there, think the garmin was showing 18f for awhile. Feet were happy in the new shoes but I don't think you can keep your hands warm without bar mitts. Maybe should try shoving some chemical hand warmers down the back of my gloves. Was sunny again today but motivation to go back out in the cold was lacking so I sat around and might zwift in a bit.
