mmmpow, only done it a couple times in over the last 2 years but the TRT DH is quite tech and very awesome. I've only ridden it twice, but can't imagine it was ever easier! I think most other trails have gotten easier (smoothed out and flowy) so that TRT descent seems hard and raw by comparison.

I lapped the upper portion of Stanford that has been rebuilt - pretty fun and flowy. Great trails over there.

surfacewhore - wow, what a handle! lol love it

Anyone else going to be at Downieville Saturday for the XC? I’m so out of shape compared to most seasons and plan to get my ass thoroughly kicked, but still looking forward to it.

A few more from yurp. Went up and over mount Chaligne. A shuttle bump to the top of the pavement meant we pedalled about 3500ft up, pushed up another 700ft or so, then descended about 7200ft down to Aosta. The descent included a stop at a Rifugio on the way up and down. I could get used to the mid-descent stop for beer and a cheese platter. And, of course, ending with gelato.

    More from the Alps

Grivola on the left, Mont Blanc in the middle, Matterhorn on the right.

Descending from the top, Grivola in the background.

    Rode past a small farm.

Looking back up at where we came from.

Been doing a lot of solo rides this summer, so just bikes leaning against stuff for pics. But wildflowers have been going off for weeks in my happy place.

Was heading out for a ride on Saturday when my 2yo wouldn't let me leave without him. I can't ride everything I would without him, nor go as fast (up or down), but I sure get a kick out of his dialogue on the ride. And...I think this fares well for us riding together in the future as he gets bigger (and his own bike).

Incredible racing the past two weekends on home turf. Day two of BME was as loose as it gets. Moon dust o' plenty.

I guess he doesn't want to throw his other long and slack bike into the back of the pickup and drive it to the top.
