NICE!!!!! But also looked like it could have ended in prime Jerry of the Day footage!
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Smoky all week up in Revelstoke, then one day of rain and hero dirt the next day on the Frisbey Ridge. All time.

Right on! I'd forgotten how good tacky dirt is. Moon dust has been fun but the Velcro on macpherson yesterday gave an ease to play more and look for fun little lines. Big grins all round

    Altachic had a bad morning

Clipped a bar on a tree which led to pinballing off several trees. Broken helmet, moderate concussion, some nice lumps on her head, a few scrapes, thankfully nothing more serious.

Anyone have a 140ish 1-1/8 steerer fork with QR dropouts?

She's gonna be fine. There's a guy on pinkbike selling a 2001 Rock Shox Psylo SL 130 mm for $120. I'm gonna try and snag it. It's not ideal, but at least it'll make the bike functional so I can sell it. Someone around here will buy it for 500-600. As-is it's worthless, not even much point in trying to part it out.

We might have gone to the ER for CT scan if it wouldn't have cost us thousands ('Merica!). But, she was feeling much better already and CTs of your head aren't benign either. The radiation dose from one CT scan is equivalent to getting something like 1,000 x-rays.

Have you checked the price of a new crown/uppers? You can usually buy them bare.

A bike shop could probably look it up and order it for you, or try searching for "[fork model] CSU," or find a parts catalog yourself. Sram/rockshox has them online, that appears to be a fox? I don't know much about them.

Euer Valley, Truckee. Tahoe Donner just keeps acquiring more land and building more trails specifically for mountain bikes. Rode a new one this week (West Mustang Sally) and they're working on 3 more. Pretty awesome. Stoked my family got a house in this part of town since going on rides without getting in the car is pretty much the best.
I ski 135 degree chutes switch to the road.
