A River Runs Through It, and that's really just been hyped by hysterical chics. Decent actor, but not falling into many critics accolades as a great actor by any means.

Nicolas Cage has a rollercoaster of a carrer, good movies mixed in with bad. To his credit,

Fast Times, his part was small, but c'mon it was Fast times!

Raizing Arizona, one of the funniest movies ever, unlike anything that was being made at the time.

Moonstruck, not a big fan of this one, but chics dig it.

Leaving Las Vegas, this is a powerful movie, want a reason to get on the wagon? Check it out, you'll be dry in two hours.

City of Angels, kind of mushy, but definitely a good movie.

8mm, Cage gets more than he would ever want, this is a fucked up film but he has a solid performance in it.

Adaptation, it's a bit of a trick playing identical twins, great writing and fantastic acting by Cage.

And I have to say that Brad Pitt is pretty good. Watch Legends of the Fall, Seven and Snatch. Three very different rolls, three great jobs.

Dances with Wolves and Fandango are the only legs he has to stand on, and neither is in the same ballpark as:

Legend of the Fall / Seven = Pitt

Godfather / Dog Day Afternoon / Carlito's Way = Pacino

And there's not enough room to post everything Deniro's done.

I would tend to agree about Cage, Raising Arizona is his saving grace.


...not to mention the fact that the native americans did all the acting in "Dances".

To this day, I still hold that Waterworld is the biggest pile of steaming dogshit that has ever hit the silver screen. When I saw/heard that, I wanted to reach through the screen and strangle him to death. Just thinking about it makes me angry. I hated brad pitt till I saw 12 monkeys. Now I just shut the hell up. Nic cage has had a good career, but I rarely get much inspiration out of him. Most of the time I feel he plays the same whiny or overly moral guy thrown into this weird situation. But thats just me.
