    What length AK Enemys?

So I have a line on some 06 AK Enemy's. They are 179's. Wondering if this ski will be to short.
    Bio:
    Height: 5'11
    Weight:185
Skier Type: Likes to ski fast, Very strong, Will huck nothing over 30'. Loves to Billy Goat.Likes to slash, carve, smear.Very Technical. Not a jibber.
I have some longer skis for bigger mountains and open terrain. Looking for something fat for smaller mountains and in the trees.
Oh yeah, they are going to run me $270 with shipping, used only 15 days, good shape, drilled once for sollys.
I have never skied this ski or owned such a short ski.
Other skis I like, own: Atomic Big Daddy, Gots, Spats, Atomic Sugar D.,
    Dynastar Legend Pro,SethPistol, Explosives.
    What say you?

if you currently possess all those skis, you DEFINITELY need another pair.

re-read what you just wrote, as it seems like you answered your own question there. can you overpower these? probably without too much trouble. does it really matter if you're billy goating or skiing tight trees? don't think so

Mojo: I've dumped everything but the Spats and the LP's. I have owned those listed and liked them all.I am trying to buy some Big Bros to replace the BD's. Just looking to fill a void. I have heard this ski is soft so did not want to go real short and regret it. So thanks, i guess.

I'm assuming you have the 86 lps? if so, you'll probably be fine with the 79s. It seems to me like you're looking for a fun, playful ski for the fresh? Although don't the spats fill that spot as well?

seems like a pretty good deal though if you don't have to redrill

Do you enjoy a nice foot rub and long, moonlit walks on the beach? If so, I think 179's are the ticket - you may want to try out eHarmony.com if that doesn't work out though.

    2Funky,
I'll second mojo's opinion. I've skied on a pair of 179 Maden AKs a few days. They are great in trees and tight spots. They are a bit hooky on fast, open runs- but that's not what you plan on using them for. They should fit the bill nicely.
189s would be tempting, but I haven't seen too many used Madens/AK Enemys for sale of either size.

Ive got 189 AK Enemy's 4ish years old but only skied for under 10 days(give or take a couple). Excellent shape no core shots or even really any scratches, mounted once for axial 140's for a 285 boot sole length. Id get rid of them for 150. Save yourself some cash, get the longer sticks.

    IMO get the 189´s.

They are easy to handle, and with a few hours on them you can get through anything but the tightest trees. Compared to the 86 LP´s (currently my everyday ski), they are easy cruisers, and much more confidence inspiring in the trees and tight spots.
