Whoa - it's snowing in Sandy!
Just looked out the window and there are big fat flakes coming down. Sweet!

Puking at 2600 east 9200 south.
Bring on a season of north facing depth hoar.
Snow in September is neat, but I really hope it melts, or keeps snowing throughout October.

Can't remember the last time I saw fat flakes like this in September. Mountain cams looking pretty good right now.

Whoa! Pretty cool. I've been shredding the big bike all day in perfect 75 degree weather in OH.
Glad to hear there's stoke but yeah, what trackhead said. That stuff better melt off in October. And then get a nice 60" storm for an instant bomber base. No more of this cold early season depth-hoar Colorado-style B.S.I'm so hardcore, I'm gnarcore.

If there's a lot of snow today/tonight, is anyone going to LCC tomorrow for turns? Brake out the rock boards?

Best spot for turns would be Timp. Althought the snowfield is significantly smaller than last year.
If we get 8" or more, and some wind, it could be worth the hike. Unfortunately, I can't make it up there this week.

Big flakes falling out here too in the West Valley. All of my westside neighbors broke out their gats and started shooting at them...
I told you to tell them
you was in a sanitarium, not sanitation.

Alright, Ullr, decision time. If you're going bring it, go ahead and bring it now. Don't toy with us. If you're not up for bringing on full winter beginning in late september, please kindly take a nap, and bring us warm clear fall days, and possibly some high elevation rain, to clear it out. Rest up, and return with a vengeance in early or mid November.
Yours truly,
skiski

Decided to take a drive up to Alta to check things out up there today. There was much more snow falling on the bench than at elevation. Still, check it out.
