    Hill food

    What u guys bring?

I usually pack a triple decker pb&j in a ziplock. Sometimes I breakdown and buy some brews midday. What are your standard lunch packs/hill refuels?

Sammie's and a bowl of soup is the usual.

But this year I'm gonna have a season pass and I live only 15 minutes from the slopes so I'm thinking I'm gonna have to really do it up this year and get one of those little propane grills for beer soaked brats and the occassional grouse alla maggot. (recipe TR to follow)

PB & honey, crackers & cheese, an energy bar (usually Cliff 'cause they don't freeze) or fig newtons. Always a thermos of soup waiting in the locker or car.

breakfast burritos for breakie then make extras, wrap them up and put them in tin foil for the chairlift.

That, or if I am coaching and actually stopping for lunch, some left over curry or pasta.
And of course the obligatory beer at the end of the day....

in my pack I have water and some granola bars.

For lunch we BBQ at the truck and we always have Mundare Garlic Sausage with mustard. Buns are optional.

it isn't skiing without the Mundare Sausage on the BBQ.

Ditto on the PB& J, but pretty much anything laying around - usually Clif bars and bananas.

Hookers and blow only if it's right after quarterly bonus time at work.

Big Breakfast, then a Powerade & Rice Krispie Treat (or Blondie) for lunch - both bought on the hill. Only thing I actually bring along is bottled water.

Why oh why would you not bring a snack!? One of the great pleasures in life is sharing chocolate with friends on a high mountain ridge.

I normally bring a hideously smashed and mangled roast beef, pepper jack, and sprouts samich. It gets washed down with a snickers. Also, if I have my pack I bring a thermos of coffee, if I do not have a pack I am normally pretty close to a coffee source, and I have a really hard time not stopping for one of those.

Beer is overrated IMO. It makes you slower, less motivated and dehydrated. However, getting drunk is underrated if anything. It makes you faster, more attractive, and better at taking hard crashes.

Usually anything in bar form. Clif Builder Bars are a big one, snickers and regular clif bars sometime. Then I've got a soft 1L bottle for water.

Burritos, tuna saniches or leftovers tend to the standard ski lunches on the hill or in the B/C. Of course whiskey and/or beer maybe a little electric lettuce get packed and some snacks: gummy stuff, nuts and dried fruits, various dried and cured meats.
