We only skied at the areas for 2.5 days, and out of that, we counted less than a dozen runs in bounds. There is so much bc potential around there.

According to the hutmaster, there are about 5 other refugios across the valley from Piltri (in El Bolson). Some are CA, some aren't. I'm going to have to investigate those some day.

We have been to some of them in the summer. The trailheads are at the river bottom and it is aways back, aka a long approach for skiing but really beautiful with nice alpine terrain.

Refugio Hielo Azul makes their own home brew too. And it goes down really easy!

That was great. The ski shots were great, and the shots of all the food make me hungry. Thanks for taking the time to post that.

And is it just me, or is Bklyn everywhere?

Bumping this thread because I'm currently planning a SA trip and couldn't decide between Bariloche and Las Lenas (only have a few days to fit in skiing), and this one clinched it - Bariloche. Sorry I missed this thread the first time around, it's truly spectacular.
