My 14 yo is making a desk out of 2x8s glued together. He's going mostly off YouTube and doesn't really want my input except when he's stuck (down a dead end that could have been avoided had he asked for directions). My investment so far is a new circular saw blade (because it was time for a new one) and my time to cut the ends even. He's got his first coat on of whatever it was he decided to use and has more sanding to do. He managed to get it fairly level which is good because we don't have a planer. He'll do alright and have a better idea for next time. He wouldn't hear of using either a jig or attaching cleats for gluing as our clamps are not long enough for a desk. I hope the bond is sturdy. I didn't cut enough off the ends to test it.

Do a bit of math and run some Vdrop calcs with different wire sizes at different voltages then do some more math with prices of equipment/wire. A 3kva tx at 600v will drop your current to about 5A. 3kva will be maxed out though, so I'd go minimum 5kva. Actually, I'd probably go with 10 kva because in my experience everyone always wants more after a bit.
hadn't even though about going that route. Do you know if those need a nominal input (120/240/480) or can some funky voltage from the solar array work?

Lift ticket bail wire should have it's own thread before it becomes obsolete.

Poured a patio sidewalk for my parents Wednesday. Stripped the forms yesterday. Turned out okay, I think. Been awhile. Click image for larger version.

Just barely outside that window, here. Got down to 30 for a few hours that night. Not long enough to do any damage, but it was on my mind, for sure.

Pantry had an old curtain in front of it. Now that the apocalypse has hit, various items were falling out so I built some doors.

Nice - I was thinking of building something similar to your upper rack. Up and out of the way for summer.

Replaced a crappy old raised garden bed with a new homebuilt version. Used six 2x6x8 ft cedar boards and fastened with pocket screws. Pretty quick and easy. Looks a whole lot better than the old POS!

Looks good Ad. Planter boxes were on the menu for the moms this weekend too. Raised one for my mom and ground for MIL.
