True if you can buy or find that small of a quantity. Otherwise #30 felt or 2x #15 is an option, too.

I tweaked the 3D Animation and image for the 6:12 (26.57°) roof:

Alpinord, thanks for the mock ups. I'm learning a ton.

And P, man, that's a great offer. I have to go to Chicago next week but when I get back, I'd love to pop by and if somehow a Boulevardier should appear, it wouldn't be the worst thing.

Thank you Sir. Those miters are reinforced with loose tenons that a Domino could do in 20 min but that took me all weekend with a router. And I have enough scrap for at least 3/4 of another one...

It's cherry, knots filled in with coffee grounds & epoxy, wipe-on varnish finish. Hoping that the colors of the individual boards will converge over time, as I spent way too much time ensuring continuity of grain over the edges and matching grain transitions across boards

Pretty psyched with how it turned out even though there are a few things that bother the **** out of me that no one else will ever notice

The Shed of Doom is getting a roof. Sticking with the osb per everyone's recs. That roll in the back corner is the heavy duty roofing material instead of felt, courtesy of oftpiste. I brought him some whisky in exchange but then drank a bunch of it in his kitchen. Sorry about that oft

Reinforced the interior framing as well.

Can anyone recommend some sort of resilient sticky vinyl flooring product I can roll out? Or something that makes more sense. I want easy, resilient, waterproof. Don't care what it looks like.

My pleasure Art (? why?) and thank you for the generous and unexpected donation! Come drink the rest of it with me soon. Shed's looking good! What about a paint-on rubber membrane deck type stuff for the floor?

Wait, it's still around? After the steaks I saw in the sous vide, I figured it wouldn't last a night. I'll pop by again. I like the rubberized membrane idea. I can get that in the nooks as well.

I guess 12 years was good with the old handle and changed it on a whim. Not much thought, obviously, went in to the metamorphosis, but I'll be damned if my signature doesn't stay the same.

yeah, it is filled with water and it keeps the lint down. I wish I had vented it outside, but put up the drywall before I remembered it wasn't vented... oh well!

That was actually just a small part of the renovation (that is a little cottage on our property). We ended up doing a complete remodel on our entire house that involved some things like this:

    Glad the sig remains!

We dug pretty deep in the wine cellar that night. Whiskey remains. I'll try to save some for ya. Pop by at your leisure!

Paint and Vinyl Floor today. Got a good deal on a random remanent. Tomorrow is trim, soffits, doors, windows. Then shingles and I'll build a crude work bench inside.

I'm not a knife nut, but this is something I've wanted to do for a while. Little folding knife I made.

Started with a cheap kit, then threw out the blade, as well as the nasty wood they supplied for the handle. Some friends run a company forging very high end chefs' knives - they gave me an offcut of their layered steel to use for the blade; it's a high-carbon steel core, with 100-odd layers of nickel and steel cladding. The scales are cedar burl.

Making it was a case of shaping and profiling the blade, cutting the mechanism for the pivot and lock onto it, tempering the metal, polishing, etching in acids to bring out the damascus pattern, then sharpening and assembly/finishing.

I made a load of mistakes doing this, but learnt a tonne too. Fun little project though, and I'm happy with the finally product.

I've used it. Actually sets up clear and like all the other gorilla glues I've used, it works. It expands like the rest though so it aint for model building.

    That shed is looking nice.

    The knife looks sweet!

I'm trying to get started on my woodshed project. Never done this before. I'm trying simple post-beam/pole barn style, single pitch, and dirt floor. I'm clearing the sight now. I was going to put the posts into concrete. I've never done that before, either. It does not seem like rocket science; however, any suggestions about the concrete to use?
