whoohooo, go fast and have fun C!
Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

    aw shucks

thanks guys i'm all warm and fuzzy now

fyi- another awesome mag, Cornholio, aka Andy is also racing IMLOU and is #406... he and i have been comparing neuroses as race day gets near.

my goals: finish under 17-hour cutoff with a smile on my face

if you're watching for someone actually "racing" and who is going to kill it out there, track Andy because he is going to rock.

Good luck to you both, but given the choice I would much rather watch C swim, bike and run

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

Good luck and don't let anyone pass you.
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

    Good luck!

An Ironman in Louisville in August, huh? The word "sweltering" comes to mind.

    I don't get it. Really.

I really meant it. I had this whole thing typed in word - all I needed to do was put on TGR and insert pictures...no point in 2 threads. Mine was more of a tribute to Court and her journey that lead her to IMLOU.

Good luck C, my knees just shed a tear for you
Our world is full of surrender at the first sign of adversity, do not give up when the challenge meets you, meet the challenge. Through perseverance comes the rewards, the rewards that make life so enjoyable.

Seize the day, trusting little in the future.

if you want something, go after it. if you want to screw someone over, look DEEP in your heart and realize Karma is a bitch

Calling for 84 degrees on that day, hope that forecast holds.

Your preparation over the previous months is what will get you to the finish line, not anything you do or don't do in the next few days. Stay calm, stay loose, and knock down those miles.
