    DH tire for loose/rocky conditions?

So I've decided my 2.5" Nevegals aren't really cutting it for the trail conditions around here (and are getting torn up REALLY quickly), so I'm in the market for a new set of tires for the DH bike. The Kendas have been great for hardpack or a little loose dirt, but when it comes to cornering in anything substantily loose the front end tends to slide and braking is mediocre. I'm looking for something that has a similar diameter and maybe stiffer sidewalls. The Maxxis DHF/High Roller setup (2.7F, 2.5R) seems like it may work better, but I'm open to any and all suggestions. For reference, I'll be using these at Big Sky, MT most of the time and I weigh 160 lbs. Rolling resistance is not a concern.

I am liking my 2.8 michelins. They are a bitch on the uphill but they are great on traction if the rolling resistance isnt an issue.

    2.7 Minion F 42d on the front
2.5 High Roller 60d on the rear
I've got more suits than Liberace, but less than Eastvailhucker.

I think any tire will wear quick at BS. My Minions did/do. But they are good at loose cornering, I think.

less tire pressure for better traction? if pinch flats are, or become, an issue tubeless?

do the nevegals come in different hardnesses? casing?

no idea on tires. I'm a XC geek.

I'm running tire pressures just high enough to keep my 2.2mm thick tubes from pinch flatting, so tire pressure isn't the issue. I think I'll go with what Vicious suggested as soon as the Kendas wear out (soon).

I'd get the 3C maxxis tires over the 42/super tacky.

Even as a front tire, I've popped knobs off those things the first day out.
