    Lobstermen on Discovery

So I just watched this show. I know it was on breifly last year, but I thought they had cancelled it. Some observations I had:

    These guys:

Wouldn't be able to drink at the same bar as these guys:

This looks like a day at the beach:

    Compared to this:

    And this:

    Is nowhere near this:

It seems like Discovery wanted to capitalize off the success of Deadliest Catch, but came up way short. Not saying that Lobstering isn't hard or the weather never gets bad before any of you East Coasters get yer panties in a bunch, it just makes for bad TV.

now this tuna farming operation show is kinda interesting...
I still call it The Jake.

100% agreed. The fishing bit is so overplayed.

There are so many people doing such cool shit out there, and Discovery is such a huge name now, I can't believe this is the best they can come up with.

It's all about access, and Discovery definitely has that edge over everyone else.

    Think about it.

Oh, and WTF is up with Alaskans needing to dickwave? They wouldn't exist if it weren't for downeasters.

Let's see a faggot Juneau boy on the Grand Banks in a dory.

You'd cry like a little bitch in the North Atlantic during the winter.

    What he ^^^ said.
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

FWIW, I've been off Maine in December and January, not fun. Just not what I was saying about the show...

I hope not. It sucks. It was a series they created after one cool 1 hour special on the building of the ice road. Sadly 1 hour totally covered the entire plot of the season. People build a road that's snowy and icy. Fat guys drive rigs loaded with big crap on it. Sometimes there are accidents.
