Stamps - how do I know if they're still good?
So with USPS stamp prices going up every other week, how do I know if mine are still good?
They do not have a price/cost on the front of them. They only say "First Class" and "USA" and "2006" set in front of the statue of liberty on a flag background.

... after searching the USPS site, I found out that they aren't good anymore:
Note: mine don't have that big "39 cents" text on them like the pic, but the rest is exact.Last edited by road trip; 08-01-2007 at 08:15 AM.

They're still good for 39 cents, you just need to get additional stamps to make up the difference.

They're still good. The question is how much they're worth.
Sounds like they were in place to prepare for the 2006 rate. According to the USPS website, that was a January 2006 bump to $.39. Also according to the USPS site, that rate is now $.41.
So with an additional $.02 stamp, you should be good to go.not counting days 2016-17

FOREVER stamps. I am soooo buying those.
...and had Woody gone straight to the police - - or had the USPS just put the value of the stamp on the stamp - - none of this every wood have happened.

I put all my money in Forever Stamps and gold. They're the only safe investment vehicles.

Yeah but if you bought a million of them and the USPS raised rates 2 cents, you could sell them on ebay for a penny more than you bought them for and make $5000 on only a $410,000 investement!

You're right. That idea is bulletproof. I'm giving my two weeks at work today and heading down to the Post Office...

What about Mark McGwire homerun balls?
You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig.

All you gotta do if ya have the .39 stamp is buy the penny stamps at the post office and add two penny stamps to a .39 stamp and you are set
Always charging it in honor of Flyin' Ryan Hawks.

Forget the stamps, go with the Michigan bottle/can deposit venture. 100% profit on cans bought elsewhere for $.05.
