next years sticks: rippin fatties
Here are my candates for next years ski:
elan mantis 777
legend pro
volkl karmas (so sweet)
Stockli Scot Schmidt Pro Model
I've only skied the karmas. So whats your thoughts on the rest of them. I really like the b3s but they only come in 185 and 195 and I want something close to 190.

i got to check out my buddy's stokli asteroid 201's pretty much the same ski as the ss pro model i think.
I only got to ski them a couple runs and mostly on soft sticky groomers. Really never got a chance to get them up to speed. They turn better than i expected, rail on groomed well. The few little soft mashed potato sections were summarily destroyed by the skis. All in all pretty sweet.
I did almost crash when i tried to force them through too tight a turn and the tails washed out. But i was trying to find their limit for tight turns, guess i did find it.
I may need a pair of those babies next year."They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

On a positive note, I did save some money on car insurance by staying with GEICO..."

Get the Stocklis. Probably the best construction for a mass produced ski (although they don't make too many of them as it is). The thing is so much fun to ski. So buttery laying out powder turns. Stable at any speed. The only thing they aren't good at is hard pack-it doesn't like to be over turned, but all fat skis have this problem.
