looking for old school Alpinestar bike HELP!

Ya I'm looking for an old school Alpine star Mega bike. The frame has elevated chain stays and a bent set tube to allow for the really short wheel base.

15 or 16" (can't remember what size they came in, but the small one)

    Any hints on finding one?

Ebay has had nonthing for months, but any maggot know of a retro bike site that might?

    Thanks

Thanks for that, but that is the wrong frame.

That one has a straight line (tube) from the head set to the rear hub for a really really large standover size.

The one I want has a bend in the seat tube so that the rear wheel sits closer to the bottom braket and makes a really short wheel base and under 16" chain stays.

Reward offered to any maggot/minon that can help me !!!!!

    I remember those.

Vail Valley, of all places, is a hotbed for early Alpinestars. Local Mike Kloser was on the factory team back in the late 80s/early 90s, so the local shop (forget the name, out its of business now) with which he was affiliated was one of the few shops around that carried the brand. I've never seen these bikes anywhere else.

Might start calling around up there. Somebody still has one stashed in their garage, I'm sure.

Kind of a long shot. But, hey, you said you were keen to go prospectin' - good a place to start as any.
