I tried a C-1 over Memorial weekend for half a mile. I traded my raft with my friend's C-1 to run one class IV followed by miles of class II. I eddied out behind a boulder above the class IV and haven't been so scared of a horizon line like that in years. The raft went through, spun twice, then flipped on the bottom wall. Watching the carnage, oars & people flying everywhere, I exited in the eddy and swam with the C-1 to shore to walk the rapid. I have to run some stupid large waterfalls to have the equivalent stoke to running baby rapids in a C-1. Good on you!

the skirt is on order and it sucks waiting for it to get here, they have to custom make it for the saddle position.

Please, for all that is good and holy, have someone with a video camera the first time you paddle that thing.
