Still haven't figured out how to make the colors I see when I shoot and in post-production show up in a jpeg on the internet. They don't "pop". Any tips?

Don't think I'm going to get a chance to shoot much before the 4th, here are my motion entries. Not eligible because of the dates though.

How do you know? Have you even seen the pictures he hasn't posted? I think you mean the pictures he HAS posted.
Semantics aside, Deep Days apparently has a much better grasp of capturing "motion" than you... It is pretty silly for you to be giving him shit, in light of your submissions.

It wouldn't be TGR if someone didn't get made fun of in a thread! Haha nothing like a beatdown on a friendly competition!

I was being sarcastic with Max... I'm pretty sure he knew that. And my submissions... well, its all I've taken in the last week. Thanks for commenting though. Its awesome getting shit from people who haven't submitted anything.
And my point with Squatch is that he DOESN'T post pictures.Last edited by smmokan; 06-28-2007 at 06:53 PM.

I was being sarcastic with you. Didn't you know??
I dunno why having a submission is a criterion for commenting. I'm not gonna just enter any old crap that I've taken in the past week into the contest, especially if it doesn't really have anything to do with motion. I've got snapshots with subjects that were moving when I took the picture, too.
Your point wasn't lost, just poorly made.
Back to the contest.... pardon the interruption.Last edited by focus; 06-28-2007 at 07:32 PM.

this isn't a submission since it was taken in May, but since I was playing with a few photos and I like it better than my other pic as far as motion is concerned, here it is:

Thanks. Those two are my favorite subjects. They just have so much personality, it really comes through in the photos of them.
I am trying to crop out the left side, but Lightroom will only let me crop so much. Anyone know how to crop just one side of the pic out in Lightroom? I want the right hand side to stay exactly the same, with the edge of the picnic table showing.Last edited by warthog; 06-29-2007 at 11:10 AM.

Thanks- I can't tell you how long I looked for that info. When will I learn- asking TGR gets me the answer quicker. Here is a new crop, with some color tweaks:

Shutter speed and aperature, please?
Great shot, btw!
Edit: Can we have til the end of the week to submit pictures? I've taken some that I THINK would be decent submissions, but i can't upload them and do lossless rotations with IrfanView until i get home to my computer on Wednesday. What say you all?"I said flotation is groovy"
