Just a couple hours ago got home from a 4k mile roadtrip. Played 12 different courses from NV, ID, MT, WA, OR, CO.

Can't say enough how so so psyched I am about this exercise habit with beer.

So much fun. Met so many great people and had an all time with the lady friend.

I'll post some pics once I sleep. Been driving awhile.

Anyone got a recommendation for a distance driver that doesn't dive hard right even with a vertical forearm throw.

It's pissing me off. I'm usually par, but I was looking for some more range, and fell into a beast that fucks me and my shoulder.

    TIA.

Nice pics. I've gotten back in to disc golf big time the last couple years. Here are a few photos from Ski Sunlight a couple weeks ago. It's a great course.

Unfortunately I hadn't picked up the game yet, when we stayed at Beaver Creek this summer. Looks like a lot of courses to choose from in the area.

Check out Goblin Valley SP. It's like that on steroids. A bit of a trek (understatement) to get to to play, but it's my favorite course in the US.

Local store here is pretty cool. Lots of guys from my old Ultimate days.

They run a really cool event in the Toronto Blue Jays' Spring Training stadium every fall.
They set up baskets/holes in the outfield and you throw from the upper decks and win prizes for closest to the pin.
    All with lots of booze.

Just finished my first round and had fun, tight trees on some holes and wide open on some others. Golf disks fly differently than a frisbee. Looking forward to playing again.

Any advice for buying the proper driver, fairway disk and putter?

buy the better plastic, fairway to putters for now, add distance discs as game develops. watch a couple vids on technique, and for the love of dog, get a disc bag big enough you can carry a few beers in. no one likes a begar on the back nine.

A friend of mine made this fun video of playing disc golf around the house with his kids. Inspired me to set up a little 5-hole course around my house with a basket I rescued from a dumpster. Pics of that later:

I promise you this: you will outlive the bastards." – Edward Abbey

Ordered a fairway disc and already have a couple of putters. Now I need to practice and learn how to use them.

I'll also add that when you start to find discs that work for you, get one or two more of the same thing. You will lose or break them at some point and be happy to have a back up in the bag.

To reinforce what Hawk said it's good to keep the assortment simple in the beginning and learn how to throw what you have well. IMHO folks go overboard filling a bag with a disc for every potential needed flight pattern. Can't tell you how many times I've heard someone say 'I should've thrown my ----' after yanking one in the woods or water. More often than not it ain't the arrow it's the indian.

Jealous. No DG for me so far this year. Long time tournament/league player. Broken collarbone which is almost healed, and the local course is the incident command center for a big fire. Looking forward to fall and stealing some tags or just playing some casual.

Thanks a stinker! I hope your collarbone heals well and you get out soon.
