Beard and no mustache looks funny. And it gets you shot in the head while attending the theater.

I just had a thought: WTF happened to Movember? It flew by so quick. Are we all supposed to just die in sepsis, are we just carpet muchers with a smooth cushion for a month that were put on furlough permanently?

I used to enjoy the spirit, comradery, chiding, and the effort (or lack thereof) for that month, along with the humor- but it completely was not even on my mind, nor any one else as far as I have seen or been trigger by in the periphery this year.

Maybe it was just a bone thrown at us. A squirrel so that we could pretend to be important. Or did I miss something fundamentally really important that mens health just got cured? The mail takes awhile to get here. But it just really smacked me in the face, with this talk about straight razors, and shower shaving, maybe I'm just a slow mass to absorb it all. Did it exist, or am I just a peripheral? (No need to answer that.)

I'm sure Phishy carries us all along the path until next year.

I noticed this too…. my full handlebars were generally received without comment this year. My kids were horrified, and that was fun, and there was still some general amusement with people I hadn’t seen in a while or on the odd zoom meeting, but it was far less fun this year than in years past.

Maybe it’s because mustaches are creeping (what else would they do?) back into style? Or maybe as I get older the mustache fits peoples’ ideas of what makes sense on my face (depressing)? Or maybe it’s because I didn’t embrace the full bushy beard in October so my mustache was less glorious than it was in years past?
    focus.

See, I can't go without any facial hair at all. There's gotta be some. Last winter the moustache fit just fine in an N95. I even managed to fit a very carefully trimmed goatee/overgrown soul patch under the mask. I got Santa going on right now, but with COVID and other shit spiking, I'm close to trimming to fit in an N95.
