I am about 4-5 weeks in on a mustache right now...
I grew it for the music festival this past week at Copper as a joke, and now I really like it, yet still feel kinda creepy......

I was in the same boat, I liked it, have some laughs on me, every time I saw myself in a mirror, I laughed. It ended up getting alot longer, kept it for 2 or 3 months.

Search eBay for a 'Moustache rides $2' shirt if you're gonna follow through on this plan.

I've got one hell of a beard started, first time to leave the mustache along with it, both are looking absolutely horrid and I like it.

Don't know why but when I shave my beard and leave my stash for a minute I can't help but laugh at myself. Mustache is a whole different world. I swear you become someone else.
Took me like 10 minutes to figure out how to change this shit

there's an amazing handlebar mustache at our local grocery store. honestly about 8 inches across. very thin, perfect curl, lots of wax. i think he works in the produce department. I'm always amazed. he's had it at least 15 years.
on another note, the thick ones (similar to the one posted by yetiman) say one thing to me: firefighter.
i know way too many firefighters with the same style mustache.
either make it stylie, or give up... scraggles aren't as much fun.
go big or go home!
and those little chin patches? no way, jose!

Seize the day, trusting little in the future.

heh...the year I started this thread I taught a section of 130/190. I'm sitting there at home reviewing the class video and saw the most amazing awesome thing. It was some NWCG bullshit about the new firefighter vs. the experienced firefighter and decision matrices or whatever but it had these hand drawn graphics of the dangerous new guy and the safe old guy. The only real appreciable difference was that the safe old guy had a giant mustache.
The lead instructor for the class had a massive stache, and I had that beast I posted earlier in the thread. It was so funny. I paused the video all dramatic during class and made a kid come up and stand next to the lead instructor. It was teh funnays.
