    Huey put on a good swell for my birthday.

    Heading south tommorrow, unfortunatley I still can't surf (injury), but there were some good shots of Margs on the web this morning. Should be good armchair viewing.

    siiiiiiiick! the water color in those is amazing. where is that, generally? socal?

    I agree, amazing water color. Much fresh water? Wondering what that tastes like.

    Yep, western australia. It's by no means a secret spot, but when it gets that size the crowds seem to thin out for some reason. When you look at the cars in the foreground, the waves are taller than them, even though they're probably 500m further out, looks to be around a solid 10ft. That was on a 4m swell, we've got a 6m forecast next wednesday The irony is the south coast will be totally uncrowded and going nuts all week and i can't surf

    As for the water colour, it's not that usual in this area either. It's usually slate grey or deep blue. That spot is at a river mouth, but the river doesn't usually flow.
