Picked up some shares of ACCD this morning, their ipo was in the beginning of July at $22, bought in at $37.20 this morning. The CEO is a friend of a friend, Raj was one of three partners that started Concur in the 90’s, eventually it sold for 8 billion. He’s a sharp dude and everything he’s touched has made money.

I’ve slowly been adding to my 2k investment I started in April, now have just under 10k into it. I’m up $1400 as of today, hopefully it keeps rolling. Unless the administration is cooking the books (likely, but the market will ignore) the peak cases has happened again. I was up $2700 on $3000 earlier this year when that happened. Lotta stuff to read out there saying this week and next will rally, so far so good today.

And for the record, I never said Biden was lying. Benny implied that. I think Biden is very serious about what he’s said concerning stopping all new drilling on federal land, including off-shore, and ending all oil subsidies “on day one”.

Woke up to "courtesy fill notification" for LUV, sold for 10% and 17% profit. Market seems to think the vaccine has saved the day, so not sure my orders to buy LUV <$33 will fill, but easy enough to try.

Speaking of fossil fuels, rod9301 gave some good advice on DMLP, PBT, SBR...up 18.8, 33.85, 27.12.

The stock market is ignoring the pandemic. Isn't that one of the 'practicals' that experts claim to be a driver in the market?

Trump will be tweeting about the rise any minute. Maybe this will end WWII.

Gold down 5% on the day, silver down 10%. I came really close to buying SIVR yesterday. Glad I held out.

Covered half KODK at 10.05; just reshorted at 10.90. Inexplicable that it can bounce after hour on the earnings (or lack thereof) non-event.

Shorted some more of the USD/CHF pairing today. Would like to buy some of that SLV etf if it corrects a bit more

Maybe it is good to see that some part of the market is still following fundamentals.

Everything I'm invested in was down today for the first time this year. SGOL, VTI, BND, EDV, QQQ.

Usually the different assets lack correlation, but not today.

Sold off my GLD and SLV last tues, and was kicking myself for a couple days. Now pretty glad I bailed when i did.

Guess we’ll see if is just a dip, or the start of the bubble burst. I’m thinking dip, but going to wait a couple days before doing anything.

EWY is the only thing saving me at the moment, but I only have about 5% in the market right now, I figured a correction was coming.

    Interesting stuff going on...

    https://finance.yahoo.com/news/kodak...053732910.html

An Eastman Kodak Co. (NYSE: KODK) board member and his wife donated nearly half their stock holding in the company, amounting to 3 million shares, to a religious charity on a day when the company’s stock hit its highest valuation since 2014, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday.

    What Happened

George Karfunkel and his wife Renee Karfunkel made the donation to New York-based Congregation Chemdas Yisroel on July 29, according to a filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.

The donation, thought to be the largest made to a religious organization based on a list maintained by the Chronicle of Philanthropy, is valued at about $116.3 million, based on the Kodak stock's average trading price of $38.75 per share on that day, with an intraday low of $17.5 and high of $60.

The "congregation" doesn't appear to be more than a non-profit on paper. It doesn't actually exist in any other form. Nothing to see here...

That was my first thought when I read the article. Somebody was desperate to move some cash off the books. The timing was just too perfect. Some folks at Kodak are going to be sweating bigly.

Shorted some IGC. Old stock scam. Not a lot of borrows but got some premarket. Options premium was nuts so put in call spread to take advantage of theta.

    Covered some KODK.

Nothing you nor I can do about that except at the micro level. Eg help out local restaurants by buying take out. At the market level I have zero problems about taking money from Robinhooders
