ha, FB might be buy today? Seems FB just buys any competition, so might bounce back, although I don't understand how they would be impacted by inflation like the headlines claim.

I haven't seen "headlines" claiming its related to inflation. Its about competition. People moving away from FB, Instagram, etc. and into competing products. CFO has said substantial headwinds. Do your own DD however.

When the government attacked ByteDance it wasn’t about privacy. It’s was money flow for advertising being lost to China.

    FB Reels? Please..

FB to 2020 price There has to be a lot of retail overhead now in all these big names getting crushed.

Ray Dalio interview on Bloomberg. He said expect 3.5-5% long term return on a well diversified portfolio with lots of volatility risk in between. I’m in line with that. He also talked about knowing and calculating your burn rate on capital.

Well this was fun. My BIL who works on Oculus and has the majority of his wealth in FB stock must be absolutely sick today. Bought an overpriced house last year and just started a massive renovation this week.

I got pummeled in my YOLO account, but had no FB in my retirement account and am now loading up in there.

What does that mean? An oversized position? Where or do you see the return to outsized growth in FB?

AMZN still looks like $2000 to me. That's not even a 50% correction from its all time high so it wouldn't be that big a deal. AAPL has done that several times along the way.

You would think that after Enron and Worldcom people would know better than to keep the majority of their wealth in one place...

Means that in my personally managed retirement account (not my 401k which is my "real" retirement account), I had been sitting on some undeployed cash and threw most of it at FB today. Maybe 5% of that account. The rest is mostly funds with some dividend stocks in there too.

I see tremendous potential in the AR and VR tech and infrastructure they are developing. So, long term good things, and I think a 25% single day correction was faaar too much and it will bounce.

I'm in the engineering/construction industry and see HUGE applications here. Same with the medical field, child learning, etc. Let alone the social/entertainment applications. That said, it very well could come about too late to pickup the slack from lost advert revenue from it's traditional streams.

    Idk. Just a hunch.

The growth heavyweights are just too over owned. 50 of 52 analysts have buy rating on AMZN.

Who is going to put medical data in FB’s hands?

That makes even less sense than turning it over to AWS

Revenue down quarter over quarter. A $400b swing in market cap? Sleep well.

I think Amazon's business practices are sociopathic. No position there.

No shame in a wrong call. The market can stay irrational longer than we can stay solvent, eh? Obviously, seeing FAANG stocks swing 20% daily is a bit disconcerting and irregular behavior.

Is the stock market going to tank?

My time frame is not one day. If I had Any kind of short term trade on, which I don’t, would have blown out. I will say if AMZN grinds down tomorrow and closes below $3k I’d be wary. It’s still within a well defined side wise channel.

Edit: I just looked at the chart. $3150 is the bottom of the channel. Barely a recovery after all that.
