And check your funds for overlaps with other funds. The Arks all overlap each other

    Thanks for the feedback, guys!

I guess coinbase could outperform bitcoin, but I'm not really sure about that. MSTR seems a better play almost since the price to nav seems beaten down as bad as grayscale, hahaha.

Here's my thought process wrt crypto. Crypto was 2% allocation then went to 8% due to price rise so I trimmed back to 5% and now its back to 4%. I trimmed by taking altcoin and DAO profits

    - I have BTC and ETH in a tax deferred account as a buy and hold to not touch for 20years till it can be withdrawn

    - I have btc miners in my actively traded yolo play money account which I actively trade (via covered calls and cash secured puts) as they have volatility. While I do care about the price of the underlying miner, I care more that their options generate a lot of income)

For that one sector (crypto), that's the extent of my overlap

MSTR is not a better play. It’s a BTC holding company with a lot of debt. It’s a different play..

@Shera- if you want international exposure with diversification, look at VFWAX (index) or VEU (ETF version).

Baba is totally at the whim of Xi Jinping and the CCP. I'm not saying not to hold Chinese equities, VFWAX/VEU have exposure to China including BABA, but also hold equities in Europe, other parts of Asia and emerging markets.

Elon sold at the top. He's got enough personal money now to reinvest in SpaceX and finally get home.

A volume gap down on TSLA can take it to $500. That would coincide with the full round trip on ARKK to $50

Apple crushed it once again. Lotta quarterlies have consisted of supply chain woes. Apple, “yeah we had a little bit of that but, bang!” Up $8.01 after hours. Claims supply chain woes will soon be in the rear view.

Every time I have cash I look long and hard at AAPL, then that midstream yield sings me the siren songs. I think I may start picking up one share with every trade I do. I currently have 6.035 shares I’m in $133.93 per.

Apple phone annual sales had been declining for several years after 2014 and prior to 2020-21 The risk is how much demand was pulled forward. An important Friday for AAPL trade

Bob - was thinking of you. Almost a year ago to this date I sold the bulk of my GME @420.69. My indicator was the creation of a GME discussion thread. As soon as the hoi-polloi get on some trend then the trend is dead indicator.

With that money I bought both SU and XOM. Since then SU and XOM via dividends and covered calls have returned 12 and 14% respectively.

In short - I agree with buying Midstream and its tasty yield

I'm trying to figure out this game. He isn't dumb, his track record proves that. Is he talking a secret book? Did he just place a bunch of shorts? Or, maybe, he's gone full retard. I doubt the latter, but, he does know how to get headlines.

Everything is under control. Just ask the Fed.

If you listened to the interview he said value is not in the USA and it’s hard to argue with that. Japan is a better value.

Looks like somebody else is short.

I'll repeat what I've been saying for years now. Where else are you going to put your money?

    Oh, wait, yeah, crypto...

My SOFI put worked out pretty well, sold a $12.50 strike with a jan 28 expiry for $46 on Jan 10. It was assigned on Friday as the underlying was trading at $11.06. By the time it worked it’s way through my account today it closed at $12.54. Set an order for tomorrow to sell a Feb 11 call, strike at $12.50 for $92.

I took a few lumps on growth stock puts earlier this month, they’re slowly rectifying themselves. I’m still trying to figure this stuff out. But, I figure 10.96% in 29 days or so will work in the long run.

Still hoping for an XOM swoon, but I’m not seeing it. Gonna lose on my call I sold earlier. When I say “lose” I mean I’ll be selling 100 shares for $66 that I bought for $40, losing means not fully fulfilling all possible gains. Feel fine about that, have plans to move it into something with a higher yield.

I picked up 100 shares of ET a week ago, I may try to ease into a lower position than it is currently trading for with a CSP. I still have a couple grand cash to play with, I’m starting to see the benefits of keeping some liquidity to enhance earnings.

I was just thinking in terms of long term potential. Like a 5 +year time horizon.
