Plenty of frauds have been admitted to the SP500. Enron for example. That’s not up to the IC to determine.

Right. Someone in a bad position generates for a story to help unwind it. Blue horseshoe loves Anacott Steel.

SoftBank has been pants on head for a while. They just grab headlines for the longer pump and dump tech magic game.

I was thinking the story was promoted by someone on the other side of the SoftBank trade that needed to unwind

What's there to say? My very weighted tech portfolio is still up xxx % for the year. My play money which is mostly short is very up in the Nasdaq bloodbath

Started a WKHS strangle. Long Oct calls and Oct puts. Will keep vertical call spreads on while the IV is high.

My INTC Sept calls look to expire worthless - oh well

September is quarterly expiration and today was futures rollover. Obviously a lot of derivative pressure with VIX steady at 30.

Read about half the report. Sure has all the signs of a con. Not sure who said it, but maybe it was Musk that said Trevor talks a good game, but that's all he has got going for him.

Every now and then a story comes around that exposes how little the “experts” really know. Theranos inked partnerships with Walgreens, Safeway, and Cleveland Clinic and staffed its board with luminaries. We think Nikola’s partners did not do their homework.

OK, I’ll be the one to raise my hand and expose my ignorance. What does 34er mean? Is 34 the strike price? What’s the er part mean?

I’m not intending to trade options, but might as well learn something while I’m here.

I sold put options priced at 34 expiring on Sept 11 ie today. That means someone has the right to sell me shares of NKLA at 34. I sold them for an option premium of .65 yesterday

I short sold shares of NKLA at 39.

I am pretty happy to buy shares of NKLA ( to cover my short) at the 34 price at which I'm forced to buy them from the other side of the put option.

I also pocketed the option premium of .65 per option traded.

Edit. NKLA now at 32s so I capped my profit at 5.65.
