    I was just looking at the monthly chart. 2000 is no big deal and I see your 1400 level. (The previous double top). I’m an optimist and use the top of the breakout: 2250/1500. Lol..

    Year 2000 decline was 50%. 2008 decline was 60%. A 30% decline to the breakout on the monthly chart is pretty normal.

    I suspect international will bounce first. November is the new January and a lot of allocation capital has to rebalance to international and emerging away from US.

    For days after the crash of 87 we had this kind of volatility and 87 in general was really volatile. Big percentage swings every day from plus to minus or opposite. Tomorrow gonna be busy.

    Note that the 87 crash was 20% down in one day and the settlement system broke. With electronic matching that really can’t happen now.

    It doesn’t have to be a crash. Shit just doesn’t go straight up. We’re not seeing banks fail or anything.

    However, what happens when 20 yrs of rate cuts end? What does real estate look like? Or earnings?

    I have no fucking idea, but it can’t be great.
