    S. Fork Snoqualmie, Washington

The transition here in the NW over the last month from rain feed runs to snow melt has been a nice gradual build and more things are coming in weekly.

I rarely bother taking photos, but a friend shot some of these this weekend while we were running laps on a short little run called Fall In The Wall on the S. Fork of the Snoqualmie. It seems like each creek I run is a new one so it was my first time on this stretch. Super fun 8-10 foot drops back to back the entire run and relatively stress free creeking at this level. Unfortunately there is an unrunnable 100 footer at the takeout that separates this from decent stuff below. It also drains Alpental where I like to ride in the winter.

Me running a wee bit too backseat for my tastes on Island Drop.

    James looking a bit better.

First drop in the Fearsome Foursome. At this level, the holes aren't as burly.

It's about 45 minutes from downtown Seattle. Living in the city is a tough life.

Substitute the evergreens for mountain laurel thickets and that could be one of our local runs here. Looks like a blast!

    D- nice pics!

Good to see that Alpental "fun" continues down the drain.
