    Eastern BC- a season recap

as i sit here high on percoset, i figured i'd come out of lurk mode and share a few photo's from my season. i fell 2 weeks ago trying to negoiate a steep icy slope in the adirondack bc, and ended my season. bruised ribs, broke left hand, and the whippet in my right hand tore the tendons, nerves and arteries. serious, but i was able to self-extract and drive my self to the hospital.

i am 100% bc, ski mainly in the east, but travel west a few times a season.
    enjoy.

I was excited when I saw the title because I thought to myself..."Eastern British Columbia, they had the best season in North America!" I was expecting to see some great pics of the canadian rockies...but nope.

Either way though, looks like you had some great days.

I think I need to do more adks bc next season...I told myself I would be doing as much BC as resort this season, but Stowe was just so money all season.

I might have to do a BC day with you sometime next season, and yes, I will be skiing tabla rasas in the BC (120 at the waist), far too lazy to haul FFFs up anything, hell, even skiing my FGS hurts my legs. I can only imagine hitting tucks in january with pow, reasonable avy danger and big, stiff fat skis. Where are you based out of?

For me, being in college and getting cheap season passes, stowe is great for day trips seeing as I live in burlington, for weekends, marcy, tucks and others were planned mutiple times, but it would always snow and we chose easy access pow. Also sweet to see someone else heading up into tucks mid winter.

cool, tucks shots are from early november, mid winter like snow fore sure.ran into doug coombs the year before in tucks, he was hiking with his nephew, cool to have met him.

i live near albany ny, drive like a mad man.

fff type skis are definetly terrain specific for me in the east, i also ski ffl's as an all around option.

i hear ya on the college thing, i love climbing a peak, the solitude, scenery , quiet, way better snow. once you get real strong, you can ski alot of laps.

Nice! I only made it out into the ADK BC once this year. I did Gothics as well. Mid Feb-April was pure money.
