    May Pow day today 5/3/07

while some jagoffs are producing vile amounts of antistoke on this board, I figured most people would enjoy a refreshing powder skiing TR. Postman and B-Rad picked me up this morning in drizzly pissing down rain. I wasnt too stoked to ski rain, but figured I needed to get out of the house for awhile.

our attitudes changed rapidly as we realized there was 20 new cms of light fluffy pow in the alpine. another reason to never believe the snow report.

    B-Rad clearly enjoying the conditions

postman phil awaiting the sun break to drop off a cornice on chainsaw ridge

we finally got our sunny break and all launched from our perches at once

B-Rad maching off the cornice in "Im going really fast" mode

riding back up jersey cream we admired our 3 tracks down bushrat

after lapping chainsaw a few times we set our sites on christmass chute

looking down from christmass at the ants entering saphire bowl below

postman poppin his cherry on christmass

and clearly happy with the terrain

B-Rad getting his presents in christmass chute

    grapedrink enjoying christmass in may

B-Rad gettin rad in saphire chutes

all in all another stellar day of spring skiing at Blackcomb.

And a kind thank you very well for that one. sir!

And you can thank us back as well--me thinks that was supposed to be our storm...but alas, 'tis been the theme of our season this year.

Nice to see some stoke again!

    peace,

    Stoked to be up tommorrow!!
The spine line to cliff drop of all gnar...is what your talking about shirk right? No, but I want to. It scares the shit out of me though. Basically as steep as snow can stick to rock.
If I could get past the broken quebecois/english Boucher was telling me he tumbled down that line a few years ago. This year he stuck it filming with PY. I think thats what he was talking about.

Hey Toby way not to tell anyone.....

We basically didn't cross a track all day except to load chairs. We had basically first 6 tracks down Chainsaw, first in Teetering, first 6 tracks (2 runs) down bushrat and first tracks in Christmas Chute. Pretty damn good day

So those were YOUR tracks we were eyeballing from the top of Jersey. Damn. I think I saw you at the top of False Face before the traverse down. My roomate Jenn stacked it en route. Nicely done, its just too bad by the time we got to the drop in by bushrat there were another 15 people there... Oh well. Early bird snags the pow. I already harassed RugbyDave about missing this one, haha. Can't complain about May pow days!

Wish I could make it up this weekend, but will have to settle for some Alpy slop & tequila.

Rossland was 2 degrees above freezing today and it snowed in town. Can't wait to get a week of glacier loving
