Boat Quiver Thread
Never seen a quiver thread in this forum, so I figured I'd start one. I'm also looking to get a new creeker, so it will be interesting to see what other mags paddle. I also have the fewest boats (down from 5) that I've had in a few years, since breaking my old Cruise Control and selling off my Disco and OC-2.
I'll start:
Pyrannha Seven-0
Necky Blunt (gonna sell soon, looking at the Burn, Habitat)Montani Semper Liberi

I'll play. I've had upwards of five or six boats but found three that do everything I want. I could use a 15 or 16' for longer trips but that would be a big purchase so I'm good for now.
Dagger Kingpin 6.3
Dagger Nomad 8.5
Maravia Spider (paddle or frame)
LL Trigger (Lady C's only boat)

Currently have:
Liquid Logic Jefe
WaveSport T2
Riot 007 (My first boat and still have it for the wife to use)
I think I'm going to update the playboat soon and get a Jackson, they seem to have it going on.

I only use the Jackson, Project, and Diesel. The Vision is my brother's old boat and the ZG is my old one. Need to get around to selling them.

It's a great boat. I'm about 180 and 5'11" to give you an idea. I broke my first one in under a year (Colorado mank), bought a new shell for 300 plus shipping, but now that I live in the NW I think it will last longer. I'm sure you've heard all the great reviews on the boat and if it's cheap, then I'd definitely get it.

Salto for creeking (most used boat in the quiver)
Ultrafuge for sentimental reasons and the fact that it still KILLS it on the Lochsa at high water.
Dragorossi Fish for other play and making sure my roll technique is bomber cuz the thing is a pig to get back upright.
Shred for squirting, but I think I am going to sell it, it's too small and painful.
We also have a 16' Mad River in the garage.

Yeah, I miss the hull speed of my Centrifuge in big water class IV situations. The Fun just aint that fast and as a result, I've had not-so-much fun in it. I should've just kept the 'fuge as my river runner when I need something more than the Fun, but def. don't want a creeker.

I'm a boat whore, nothing wrong with that. I'll stick myself in just about anything that I can borrow, demo, or steal at the put-in.
Actually I do own a SCUD, which Im selling. Ordered a Mystic today and should get my Astro 58 for play in the next month or so. Its been fun trying out about 15-20 different boats the last few months, really messes with you.
Borrowing a Mamba to run Cheoah in next weekend and borrowing a SuperStar to paddle at the park this weekend.Last edited by ridinshockgun; 04-26-2007 at 07:21 PM.

How do you like the Fluid Flirt? I saw one at the park this weekend and almost asked the try it out. Sharp looking boat.

The Flirt rocks. I got it in November so only paddled it a few days before it got cold. I've got about 5 days in it this spring and I am pleased with it. It's comfy (34 inch inseam sucked in my old witch but I LOVE that hull, oil canning and all) outfitting is good and it's stupid loose on a wave, bounces bigger than I know what to do with....
I'm looking forward to learning what it has to teach me. I say try it out next time you see one.

My quiver consists of:
Play:
Pyranha 420 M/L
Pyranha Sub 7- 2 Ball
Necky Vibe
Creek:
Pyranha M:3 243
Pyranha Burn M
I paddle the Burn and the 420 most frequently and will occaisionally break out the sub 7 when the put-in waves at the New River Dries are kicking. The Burn is a solid creek boat and I have been enjoying it out on the Green Narrows. It tracks well, boofs well, and the bow rocker causes the boat to resurface quickly and skip over large wholes. The flat hull hurts the back if you land flat off of waterfalls so its important to lean forward and pencil in but other than that I don't think there is anything I would change.
