Just getting into this guy. Really good camping/whiskey drinking music, though a little bit depressing. I dig it, though.

Agreed. If you like that, check out his Son Volt stuff. Even more depressing and whisky binge-y.
You familiar with the whole Uncle Tupelo canon from his earlier days? Never woulda thought punk / country could combine so well, but a ton of good stuff in there.
