I have only had one set of 916 with the loosening toe wing issue, it is easily resolved tho. Can’t say I’ve noticed a finicky fwd pressure issue so ymmv.

Also, does anyone know much about the SLab bindings that have the metal connector connecting toe to heel?
Will a stock 916 template (either paper from Jdrums, or the actual JIG) work?

Yes, Phall. Same pattern, maybe minus the middle heel screw, but can't recall.

I've still got some 877Es that are skiable. Been a couple years but I wouldn't bat an eye about clicking in to these and running NASTAR gates or hauling ass on a cold icy deserted wide open day..

Don’t even think about cutting or getting rid of that connecting metal band. It’s actually a part of how that bindings maintains proper forward pressure, IIRC.

Did that once with a px18 maxflex. While it was possible to lock in, I didn't feel the need to ski them.

I'm sure this is buried in here somewhere, but does anyone know if STH2 holes conflict with Look Pivot (same BSL, same mount point)? iirc, it's just the toes that conflict, but I can't remember how much they need to be moved for everything to play nice.

Just recently ran into this two days ago - yeah, toes will conflict. Needed to offset by 1cm to dodge the STH toes.

Ha! True. Although the sth2 is still the same toe hole pattern as the old ones.

I have these FS if anyone is interested.

914's off the race skis linked above. No brakes, no screws, make me an offer. In SLC, will ship at buyer expense or good enough offer.

Almost complete set of 916, make me an offer here too.
No brakes, no screws, need one metal heel piece base (where brake screws in).

Umm pulled out some skis from my stash and both toe plate AFDs are missing. Looks like I skied em some like this but don’t even remember.

The space under the afd looks almost workable if I filed the raised perimeter but I’m sure there’s a reason the actual AFDs are a different material

Any quick solutions to get a piece of uniform AFD like material on there? I searched PTFE tape and didn’t get direct hits…

Look for something like this. It works great. Can’t find a link to a smaller sheet right now, but here’s a lifetime supply https://www.amazon.com/Soles2dance-V.../dp/B071GJQN4Q

I used something like one of these years ago. I don't remember which thickness you need.

I hear ya. There used to be a source for smaller and cheaper sheets on eBay, but you may have to search hard. I think I have a bit somewhere in the parts stash. Give me a few days to dig around and if I have enough, I can send enough for 2 AFDs your way.
