Mammoth Tues afternoon 3/4-Wed 3/5/07
A buddy from Colorado is meeting me there, neither of us has ever skied Mammy. Both hate skiing bumps (36 years old with bad knees), but like to bushwack and get off the beaten track. Zero hucking skills, but both ex-instructors on fat skis so we can ski halfway decent. I've DH biked Mammoth and know the basic layout, but I'm sure the good ski spots are hidden. Willing to work to find the soft stuff.
We talked about trying Hole in the Wall, anybody have a topo with the route? We're pretty handy with maps and GPS, ex-military.
Any maggs gonna be out there those two days and want to meet up?
Thanks.Last edited by 1000-oaks; 04-01-2007 at 06:48 PM.

Mammoth today...
1000-Oaks
No snow in hole in the wall...
Today we chased corn snow mid mountain...Off trail and up high were purdy hard and fast. No reason to hit the snow real early unless you like it hard and fast....
