I probably have told this story prior. But one of the first concerts i attended was in Saratoga Springs around age 17 or 18 and I got tickets and told my best friend we were seeing the headliner “Neil Diamond”
we were actually seeing Neil Young which was way better but I still get chastised for that to this dayskid luxury

Glen Campbell: same - severe Alzheimer's, but he can still crank it out. I'm not a really fan of either (Glen/Neil), but this is a pretty great cover (yes, Foo Fighters) - brain totally scrambled at this point, but lyrics-recall and vocals seem quite completely intact:

He stands on a stage and women throw their panties at him.
And you, the maggots, question his value?
He wrote many pop hits for other artists for years.
He had hit records of his own and kept reinventing himself through four decades.
You don't have to like all the songs, but they were big hits, and you know the words.
He did give the performance of the night in "The Last Waltz".
And as Shredhead pointed out, he gave a free, brief performance to firefighters in Basalt, CO following the Basalt Mtn fire.
And they all knew the words too.
Bop, bop, baaa.

Mostly I dig that this thread is still in the ski chatter forum. And a mod hasn’t moved it to the music forum. Even though I necro bumped it.
Heh. I miss the old days. Powder forum chatter. Fucksticks.

I will go with the guitar duel between Robertson and Clapton on Further on up the Road.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

How do we feel about ‘Girl, You’ll Be a Woman Soon’?
(Too bad Benny isn’t around to weigh in with his expert opinion.)
