split board pricing

how much would a splitboard that you made yourself go for????

i made a split out of an atomic 170.....a friend wants to buy it but i have know idea what it would be worth.........i spent 150 on the kit and 150 on the skins.......the board is in great shape??????just wondering if anyone has any thoughts

When i sell anything to a friend I sell it at a value such that the buyer feels that they got a good deal, even if something breaks or fails with the item. The cash usually isn't worth screwing up a friendship.

Plus, if this person is gearing up to accompany you on outings & you like them, you have some intrest in helping them get geared up.

If it were me, & I wanted this person to get geared up to go out riding with me but still needed get some coin from the deal I'd probably sell for about $200. If I wasn't strapped for cash I'd probably sell for even less than $200.

My level of enthusiasm for the bold text above would be my guide on price. $200 upto $300 if I was not that excited about him coming along.
