    Summer Job in Boulder Area?

So I just found out I will be a part time student for my whole senior year next year. (I know, its stupid, but classes I need to graduate are not available in the summer or fall semester 2007, so I will be here till May 2008)

I would love to not have to work much or at all next year by saving up loot this summer.

For the first summer since living here I will not be taking any summer classes.

    Any painters need help?

I have tons of interior/exterior painting experience.

I know all about prep-work, powerwashing, caulking, sanding, priming, and painting by hand and with a sprayer.

To me nothing beats painting, the days go by fast and I never get bored while doing it.

I have my own pickup with a ladder rack taboot.

    let me know.

Why not get a job doing that up in the mountains and live out of your truck to save some real $$$? There are a ton of painting companies up here and lots of work.

I would like to do that, but I am in a lease here until the end of August anyway and subleasing is a bitch considering there are literally THOUSANDS of much cheaper subleases than what I would want...

    College Pro Painting?

I did it for two summers back in the day. I'm not sure if it's still as lame of a business model as it was back then, but the pay was decent and there is plenty of work to do. Once you get started on a job, then you are pretty much on your own. So I enjoyed working outdoors, in the sun, being anal retentive on some dudes house. It was alright.

    Fuck that shit.

I did work for college works which is basically the same thing.

The only reason I did it was to help out a friend. Never had enough materials and he way underbid the jobs, so we got paid like minimum wage over 3 weeks.

The last REAL painting I did for a real contractor I got paid $14 an hour.

That's what I got paid hourly from cpp back in '92. Sounds like they've gone downhill.

    Good luck

Why not start your own painting business and make some real money? You have plenty of time and experience...just a thought.

You're right, just like AKPM has online photo sales monopolized.
