I didn't see a couple on your list:

I got Sol Vista Peak last week. Looking at hitting up Molly Hogan Bowl Spire this weekend. Hopefully we can make it a summit descent.

I've gotten Grays, Blanca, Bross and Columbia, Shooting to add another 20 to that list before the snow is gone. Not sure if I'm ready for Molly Hogan Spire though, maybe if I start doing some yogalates.

The toe piece of your dynafit binding has to be touching the USGS marker for it to count as an official summit descent.

There are some "non-official" 14ers on that list, like Conundrum. Challenger Pt is .2mi from Kit Carson, with a 301 foot drop to the saddle. It's not on the traditional 54 list.

What constitutes a fourteener is every bit as contentious as what constitutes a legit descent.

It will be kind of interesting to see where this list stands by the end of the year.

Doumall has a bunch, probably, but I definitely remember seeing Humboldt
Don Pedro and myself on the Needle
Don Pedro and cjw on Kit Carson

edit- don pedro skied wetterhorn, too

I copied the list from 14ers.com, Challenger Point is in the Sangre De Cristos just south of Mount Sneffles.

I think it would be really cool to do a maggot 14er quest. I'll try to knock some off the list this spring.

We can even get the CA and PNW maggots involved with the effort of hitting all the lower 48 14ers.

yeah, but we only skied from about 1000 feet or so below the summit, so wouldn't count as a summit descent, we definitely topped out though. So, don't know if it will count for this list.

The maggot rules for a 14er ski.

The descent has to start within 1000 vertical feet of the summit and you must ski at least 100 vertical feet. It is optional to summit the peak, but if you do summit you must take a picture of the summit register, you will earn bonus points if your name is on the same page as Davenport's.

Boy, this could get complicated. I mean, what exactly does the word "ski" mean? Would a standing glissade count as long as some jump turns were incorporated? And what about using snowlerblades? Or snowlerblades mounted w/ tele bindings? I'm not looking to stir up trouble, I'd just hate to see someone go to the trouble of snowlerblading Windom or the like this spring and not have it count. We must adopt an ethically pure standard immediately if we hope to receive a begrudging mention on wildsnow.com.

And what's the strategy for Capitol? Will we draw straws or just all go and fling ourselves down it in hopes that one mag survives to claim the descent?
