so you're saying those skis are a technique crutch?

if you were actually good, you'd be carving on 210cm slalom skis

I can carve on pretty much anything, thanks.

Supershapes are an excellent ski for most low-advanced level skiers, and higher. They are easy to ski on but are potent enough to satisfy an expert. They aren't just for carving and are great all around - I love mine in powder and bumps!!!

    Harald!
Fancy seeing your name in the members list! I haven't seen you since the 1988 Goodwill Games! Are you still using the Harb Skier Alignment System?
I look forward to hearing from you!

    Cheers!

I don't get it. The crowd here loves to talk about the best freeskiers coming from a racing background yet mock Harb who is one of the best technical coaches out there. If world cup guys are consulting with him he must know something. Jon Olson thinks he is ok:

I´ll reserve judgment on ¨One of the best technical coaches out there¨ but i suspect it is bullshit.

I will say that I´ve heard mr harbl can actually ski, but like karpiel pointed out, the reason we hate him has nothing do do with his ability.

I have a question about slarving. My carving technique is 100% perfect (some would say 110% perfect) but my slarving technique really needs a bit of work. Can PMTS help me with proper angulation and weighting as it relates to the old slarve and butter? Thanks!

A: You don't have to, he'll tell you.

No doubt there's a lot of egos in the ski instructing world. Basically Harb is at war with the PSIA; he called out their bullshit (things like rotate your femurs in the hip sockets to turn), said there was a better way to learn to ski (tipping your skis versus rotating them), egos clashed, he was then kicked out.
