this thread is screaming for.....mr. shut...
Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

Harald,
I thought I read that you were once on the U.S. ski team. Is that true?
Also, what is the rest of your background? Did you coach racing? Ski school?
Do you ski fat skis? What's your quiver?

Canadian National Ski Team member a long, long time ago. Race coach for about 20 years, ending with US Junior Development team in 1995. PSIA Demo team after that, stint at Winter Park, writing for mags, the expert skier book, Harb Ski Systems......more or less....
As for skis, I spend most of my time on Head Supershapes. My fat/powder ski is an im88, but I don't like it all around because it doesn't hold on ice very well.

Oh.....170 cm supershapes, and 175cm im88's.....typically. Plus whatever else comes through my door. The 170cm supershape is great for all around and most powder skiing, the im88's are for deep powder and high speed in wide open areas. Excessively fat and long skis are a technique crutch, IMHO.
