10%-ish chance of lifelong pain that effects daily quality of life? No idea if this website is accurate.

Never did it. Now my wife has gone through menopause so I don't need to. Bring able to have unprotected sex has really reinvigorated our relationship at a good time. Glad I held off. Good luck if you do it.

Menopause is a time period and during the change a woman can still get pregnant.
I’ve had dental work that was more painful than my vasectomy.

I had my vasectomy at 44. It’s a no brainer if you want to have unprotected, spontaneous sex with your partner. Or wait 10+ years and see what your relationship is like then.

This is one of the most idiotic, mysoginist posts I've read in a while.
Being afraid to get a super minor surgery that takes under 20 minutes and which one can walk out of in 30 and suggesting that one's partner gets a serious abdominal surgery instead is the height of assholery. You don't deserve her.
I had to convince a doc to do it for me at 29 and it was one of the best things I've ever done. I'm honestly puzzled at the reluctance, as a vasectomy has to be one of the lowest risk, highest payoff things one can do.ride bikes, climb, ski, travel, cook, work to fund former, repeat.

It’s seriously no big deal, I drove home after mine and it only started getting uncomfortable when I got stuck in traffic and pushing in the clutch after the freezing wore off. I was on the golf course 3 days later. Get it done on a Friday and you’ll be fine by Monday, just actually follow the doctors advice.
The peace of mind shooting blanks has been amazing.

Exactly, no bc pills, injections or IUDs.
Are these vasectomy hesitant man children the same as the anti vaccination Covidiots?

We've got 3 and are absolutely done. I'm 39 and she's 41. I have thought about it, a lot.. the youngest is 6.
She's been doing the IUD thing for the last 6 years and has no complaints about it. I get the concerns about wierd hormonal stuff, but again she seems fine and no complaints and no need for any other protection. Research indicates failure rate is 0.1-0.4%. While not completely perfect, those are awfully good odds and we havent had any scares.
The lack of periods, while seemingly odd.. isn't a bad thing either from this side of the slot! Haha

Thinking of getting a vasectomy for family prevention
The risks of an IUD for women are greater than for a man getting a vasectomy.

My apologies, soft wimpy boys if you prefer. I think it’s obvious that I’m on the females side in this debate. I was wrong and I’m sorry that I offended you.
