Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA
Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA = full on beergazm
$10 for 4 12oz. beers (in CO)? Are you kidding me? I thought so too, until I tried. I have now found the hop-lover's heaven.

Funny thing is that I don't much like other IPAs (prefer brown ales, belgian ales and largers) but I really like those dogfish 60 and 90 minute brews.
Damn, we're in a tight spot!

they are too much for me, too bitter and not enough of the "fruity" flavor that hops can bring.

Step up to the 120, then we'll talk.
J/k! Almost any Dogfish is delicious, although I'm not a huge fan of the chicory porter.

Meh...
Its pretty darn good for an IPA, but I will take a good Imperial Stout or a Belgian Quadruple over it any day."Verily, my folly has grown tall in the mountains." - Fredrich Nietzsche, Thus Spoke Zarathustra

Last night I picked up a big bottle of Pizza Port IPA, Coronado Brewing IPA, and Racer 5 IPA, along with a 6er or Green Flash IPA.
I want my beer bitter, like my women, like my soul.Daniel Ortega eats here.

My Favorite DFH is still the India Brown Ale.
However, this stuff is actually the motherfucking BOMB. Try it, it'll totally skew your expectations:

If you think fresh pink grapefruit juice is one of the greatest beverages ever, then a heavily hopped, American IPA just may be your beer. I've had some fun trying to find super hoppy beers, that have some, albeit slight, sense of balance. My new favorite is Bell's Hopslam.

Yessir. Bought one of those and a 6er of Green Flash IPA last night. The Green Flash IPA is my favorite beer of the month.
Hop heads beware of HopHenge IPA bombers. They are selling for $3.50 which was sweet, but the malt overwhelming the hops was not. I forget who the brewery was."It's too bad that a lot of people have never experienced the feeling of rollerblading in the cool air of a summer evening"

IMHO, a lot of breweries "Double" IPAs are where their regular IPAs should be.
The 90 is definitely a good IPA on the heavier side of things. Right about where I aim for as far as finding a drinkable sixer (or 4-pack in this case). There's a point where standard IPAs (redhook, etc.) just don't cut it anymore.
The 120 is amazing, not an every day drinker, but has it's time and place.
Stone Ruination and Bell's Hopslam are some other very good suggestions. Bell's Two Hearted used to be excellent when it was considered a seasonal, it is still very good, but has lost a little panache since it is offered year round now. If you can find it on a hand-pull anywhere, it is very very good.
My all-time favorite standard IPA was from LaConnor Brewing. They bottled a special version for one single beer store in Seattle. It was dry hopped and bottled with the hop flowers left in the bottle. Very sticky and resiny, and managed to be both bitter, smooth, and sweet at the same time.

Oh and also the Stone 10th Anniversary IPA was fricken mint.. Alot of breweries are starting to make Double IPA's guess there must be alot of hop heads out there.. 90min is def a fav though..

Where is this "Glass Box" you live in? They sell this stuff at Whole Foods here, you don't even need to find a fancy liquor store. I also didn't drink any Alesmith before moving here, back East I was all over the Dogfish Head because they sold it down the street from my house. And Long Trail. And Allagash. Man, there may be a lot of things unfun about the NE but beer isn't one of them. Gotta play to your region's strengths. This Masala Mama sounds like a good thing on ratebeer.com though.

This glass box is my lab that I work in to make drugs for the people of the world. Unfortunately Stone and Alesmith have no distribution to Minnesota, I have spoken to the guys at Stone and they are hoping soon. We don't even get Dogfish Head either I have to go to Wisconsin for that. We used to get Allagash but they pulled out of MN about a year ago hopefully they come back. Overall MN is a great place for beer right now homebrewers, and breweries alike...
