    Damn, I like scotch.

So my plan last Saturday was hit the liqour store on the way home from Big Sky and refill my empty scotch supply, but that plan got messed up when I had to go do some unpleasant stuff. So it finally worked out today and I jsut got a nice bottle of McClelland's highland (yeah yeah, it ain't $$$$, but it sure is tasty) and now I think I'm a bit drunk.

i would love to claim i'm doing 18yo Caol Ila but that'd be untrue. 12yo for me now.

    Macallan Cask Strength.

Personally ever since I quit smoking I prefer a small-batch Bourbon, but a wee dram is still nice now & then.

Tipp, try the Sam Houston very small batch. Just had too much of that Thursday night.

And to give the Irish a nod and a wink, the Tryconnel single malt is superb.

Somewon knows! Lagavulin and Caol Isla are two of my favorites as well as Bowmore. I also drink a decent amount of Balvenie if I feel like Highlands.

Some great choices there - I'll be right over! Buffalo Trace is another good bourbon to add to your collection.

Scotch makes me quite a grumpy sod, is there any difference in the production process that might result in bourbon not making me a grumpy sod?

Mmmmmmmmm...delicious brown water. I love them all--My Irish friends, Mr. Jamison, Mr. Bushmill and Mr. Tyrconnell; my Scottish cousins, the Glens; and my Southern half brothers, Mr. Van Winkle, Mr. Beam and his crazy pet Wild Turkey.

New favorite small batch Bourbon is Bulleit- not sweet at all, with a very mineral-y taste.

Have you tried Van Winkle? It is definitely delicious. I never would have heard of it but Old Man Van Winkle's granddaughters live here (one of them is Rick Greener's wife) and they seemed to have brought their wares to the local liquor store. Give it a shot. Same deal--not too sweet at all.

Try Tyrconnell Irish whiskey. Not expensive, though a bit more than Jamison and unbelievable. Very light, smokey tint and super smooth finish.

    My favorite is Hennigans.

That is damn good scotch, I could do commercials for this stuff, Mmm that Hennigans goes down smooth, and afterword's you don't even smell, that's right folks Iv'e just had three shots of Hennigan's and I don't smell, imagine you can walk around drunk all day, that's Hennigans, the no smell, the no tell Scotch.
