That would be about as ironic as the attention afforded to that thread (phUnk's thread from like 2004)... So that's not my plea to TGR (that one will be deleted when issue resolved), but point well taken.
Tri-U, you are a pathologist, yes? Internist?? Not sure.
For those who understand search engines: Will changing names in thread titles actually change Google search results? Has been 3 days for phUnk thread and still the same in Google. Images are more worrisome, and maybe changing thread titles won't help w images...
Starting to be pretty worried. Hoping that is needlessly. Come on February... And come on winter!"I said flotation is groovy"

Not a pathologist. But having interviewed candidates and sat on admissions committees for residency (and internship and med skool), here's my take, FWIW.
1) Most of us are far too lazy to even do a Google search of candidates. Most of us are too old to use teh Intertubes for anything more than that newfangled email thingamabob and checking out our grandkids on FB. And porn, of course.
2) Even if one of us was motivated enough to look you up: you don't know how many boring-ass candidates come across our desks. If somebody with a personality (an internet personality, even) that was not too fucking dull was interviewing, y'know, that might actually be a good thing.
3) For those of us who know you on the board, even though you sometimes did come across as a spacy dork at times, (OK, many times), you do seem like a reasonably smart and overall a good sort of dude in the threads in question.
4) Most of these threads are over 10 years old ferchrissakes (or close to it). Nobody cares, so long as you were a stud in med skool and internship. You were, weren't you?
5) It's for Ortho, duh. Orthos are well-known for being the Three Stooges of the medical profession, basically Dentists. I KNOW you've already seen this:
Most Orthos don't give a flying fuck if you were a ski bum wastrel who couldn't get laid long ago. Hell, I'm guessing it's worth goddamn multiple positive points in their tiny minds (well, maybe not the not getting laid part, but who knows?) And even though I'm not an Orthopod meself, I've plenty of experience with that tribe, having been a sarcoma specialist once upon a time.
So my opinion is don't sweat it. Yet. Once you finish and go out into the real world of practice, ignrnt patients will start Googling your name and then you'll have to deal with it.
EDIT TO ADD: I'm taking the piss outta Orthopods in jest, of course. I have nothing but respect for those bone carpenters. Hell, my old kollege roommate is a 'pod, who fixed my tib/fib fracture a few years back and even kinda saved my life after a ski accident at Okemo many many moons ago.Last edited by Tri-Ungulate; 10-13-2015 at 12:18 AM.

I understand that this wasn't the only time.
On a related note I was at a Grand Junction gas station on Saturday and saw where someone had pulled out the hose and left it lying on the ground next to the pump. So a guy at the next pump walks up to it and tries to insert it back into the pump himself - gas shoots out everywhere. He stops, looks at the gas all over..... and tries to insert it again this time with a lot of gas shooting out!!!!

Sometimes it happens overnight, sometimes it takes a week or longer. Just depends. It'll fade away eventually - the page title is way more important than the content on the page itself.
And hey, at least you've got the FWT link popping up there - probably a more interesting result than most of your competition will generate.

as hinted a few times in a few of these related threads, aggregate links are going to impact SEO - so your posts referencing threads you want changed [by link] are hurting your cause. so yeah, go edit those.

I slit a girls face from ear hole to mouth hole quite a few years back. I was crushed. She had fallen and sitting behind a blind knoll on Exhibition. I stayed in contact with her parents for awhile. Plastic surgeon did some amazing work and she was young and they tell me that it only left a shadow. It's still disconcerting and gives me pause now and again.
There are a lot of large woop-de-doos at o-kim-o... saphire, upper world cup, blah, blah... and as wide and passive as the east side is, it just invites fgb.
Is that a dated term?

This.
Okemo is so boring and flat, the only way to make things even slightly interesting is to make no turns and ski as fast as possible. On a blue ice day, with plenty of alcohol and testosterone-fueled hijinks with a buncha dumbass friends senior year in kollege, on a pair of 207 Kastle GS sleds, a high speed tuck to backscratcher to flat, spin off the side of the trail into the trees led to a contused kidney and (almost) burst spleen. Easily coulda been broken back or massive head trauma.
