Valdez Private Heli Spot NEEDS filling-Blue Light Special
This is the part that sucks about putting together a heli-trip. I still have one vacant spot.
I can't let a seat go unfilled for obvious financial reasons so I'm putting it out to bid. I am willing to eat any profit and will take a loss if I have to.
-The trip is to Valdez, Alaska.
-We have our own helicopter from March 18-23(6 days).
-We have 14 hours of flight time for those 6 days.
-The group consists of 8 people and 2 guides(myself and Will Spilo).
-You NEED to be a strong skier or boarder.
-We are the only helicopter flying with Valdez Heli-camps that week so all of their resources are ours(logistical, fuel truck, etc.) This means no getting fucked by the public ship.
-As a private pretty much all of the areas surrounding Valdez are ours for the taking and we will maximize our oppurtunities. We can locate the helicopter where we need to(at the airport for example) to maximize.
-Since I am guiding I will be making damn sure to the best of my ability that we use our heli time wisely and that our group gets the most mind-blowing experience possible.
-We will still run the week like my other camps and there will be instruction in technique and backcountry skills. This will be an inclusory type of week and you will not be treated as a tourist. We will include you in all of the aspects of what it takes to make the decisions and ski safely in terrain like Valdez has to offer. Our group is as one.
-This is the pinnacle(Valdez) and ever since I came here in 1991 I have thought it was the best skiing in the world. I can't tell you how psyched I am to get back to Valdez with a private heli and tons of flight time.
-The oppurtunity to get on a private like this does not come up often at all. I can't stress enough that it doesn't get any better than this and Will and I are commited to making this trip incredible.
-The price for those already signed up is $7900 including single occupancy lodging at the Valdez Best Western.

You know I'm interested, I'm just a cheap bastard.
That, and I've got two clients that want me onsite in Phoenix and Cleveland respectively that week.
Still...it sure would be fun, and haven't actually committed to those clients yet, and as a self-employed consultant... hmmmmmmmmThrutchworthy Production Services

Dream trip. Holy Hanna. Heliskiing that exact area with Valdez Heli-Camps was the best ski experience of my entire life. Gordy, I'd offer the full amount in a heartbeat if my business were more stable right now. Dang. What an opportunity.
