Jay up-to-the-second conditions report?
Can anyone who skied there today give their estimations of how things will be skiing tomorrow? Pretty damned good, I imagine.

Pretty damn good....
that is all
Met up with coreshot for a couple woods runs and a hike up to valhalla (which was completely untracked). Flyer and tram were on hold all day, bonnie quad and jet were running almost all day. Very cold and windy. Huge drifts probably made the 60" much more manageable and very edgeable. Wasn't blower pow nor was it mashed potatoes. There's plenty of fresh left on the mountain for tomorrow if you know where to look.
I'm trying to get a crew tomorrow to hit Big Jay if anyone's interested. We'll be meeting at 11 at the top of the tram. Lemme know if anyone's interested...might start another post.

Jay will be in prime condition tomorrow. Face shots in timbuktu all day long. Even the nongladed trails had plenty of fresh snow on them from the 6'' that fell all day.
With the addittion of the tram tomorrow the mountain will be in amazing shape. Go get it!I live on the east coast and I'm proud of it.

The SnoCountry report on XM Radio said Jay got 5 feet, so "there will be plenty of powder in the trees". I have no idea how much snow they got, but everytime that report comes on I do one of these:

Yeah seriously. Stowe and SB and MRG report high 30s to 40 and Jay reports 2 feet more than that? My ass.

Thanks to this update I totally got the goods this weekend. An 8am tram after a storm like that is so worth getting up at 3am on 2.5 hrs. sleep! If not ideal.
